Uniformed Services

We provide a variety of functions which are listed below

  • Develops and manages a competitive, equitable, and sustainable remuneration system for Uniformed Services.
  • Develops and manages Detailed Establishment Tables (DETs) for the Uniformed Services.
  • Oversees disciplinary and grievance procedures in the Uniformed Services.
  • Provides Secretarial Services to the Uniformed Service Commissions (Defence Forces Service Commission, Police Service Commission, and Prisons and Correctional Service Commission).
  • Facilitate the design of appropriate functional structures for the Uniformed Services as guided by their Constitutional mandates.
  • Coordinates the formulation or amendment of legislation relevant to the Uniformed Services according to the Constitution.
  • Carries out periodic inspections of programs and projects being undertaken by the Uniformed Services in their respective institutions.
  • Drives the Uniformed Services reforms through the Tripatite Forum.
  • Manages Wage Bill for the Uniformed Services
    Develops strategic solutions to employment-related issues to assist the Uniformed Services in meeting their expected performance, delivery, and productivity levels.
  • Develops Human Resources policies and programs that transform the Uniformed Services into strategic public assets that promote viable partnerships with the private sector
