LICENSING FORMS
All forms are available and can be downloaded from our website (https://www.test30.gov.zw/?wpdmcategory=forms). Our Provincial Coordinators are available in all the Provinces for those who may require assistance in completion of the requisite forms. LICENSING APPLICATION AND RENEWAL REQUIREMENTS
All Categories (except Promoters)
The following are the requirements for the registration or renewal across all categories, except Promoters, and for boxers who qualified from the ZNBWCB sparring events:
- Registration / Renewal Form (downloaded from our website)
- 2 x certified copies of national Identity Document
- 2 x passport size colour photo
- Boxers must be older than 18 years but younger than 35 years in the case of first registration.
- A boxing profile/record indicating amateur fights (new applications only).
- Medical examination Form (Boxers only), for female boxers additionally a breast & pelvic examination.
- Medical Reports (HIV & Hepatitis B).
- Bank Confirmation letter and current Bank Statement (as requested for specific categories).
Promoters
The following are the requirements for the registration or renewal of all Promoters:
- Registration / Renewal Form (downloaded from our website).
- 2 x certified copies of National Identity Document.
- 2 x passport size colour photo.
- Certified Company Registration Certificate.
- Certified ZIMRA Tax Clearance.
- Bank Confirmation letter and current Bank Statement.
LICENSING TIMELINES
01 Jan – 31 March : Opening and Closing Date for all applications and renewals
Licensing of Non-Zimbabwean Citizen
Non-Zimbabwean Citizens who are holders of valid requisite permits issued by the Department of Immigration, which allow the holder to work in Zimbabwe will be licensed by the ZNBWCB. However boxers who fall under this category are not eligible to contest for a Zimbabwean Provincial or National title. Licensing for the other categories such as Managers, Trainers, and Promoters will also be considered by ZNBWCB with specific minimum requirements.
The licensing of all non-Zimbabwean citizens will be processed strictly by the ZNBWCB Head Office in Harare on Wednesdays and Fridays from 0900hrs to 1500hrs. Over and above the standard requirements, the following additional documentation is required for the registration/renewal of non-Zimbabwean citizens across all categories:
- Certified copy of permit issued by the Department of Immigration and must be valid for a minimum period of six (6) months from the start of the new licensing year.
- Certified copy of passport.
- Bank Account Confirmation letter.
02 April : Special Board Meeting to approve all applications and renewals
05 April : Publication of preliminary list of approved licensees
17 April : Publication of final list of approved licensees for 2023 Financial year
TARIFFS

Please note:
- In 2023 going forward we will ensure that each licensee receives a licensee identity card. All licensees are therefore required to submit, as a once-off 2x passport size colour photos.
- All documentation copies must be certified at a police station or by a Commissioner of Oaths.
- Boxers aged 35 years and above, who have not previously submitted a copy of a brain scan (CT/MRI), will still be required to do so before participating in any fight. These will be kept on file for a minimum period of at least one (1) year.
- No application will be considered if an application form is not submitted to a ZNBWCB Provincial Manager. Payments without an application form will not be considered for approval.
